Everyone can learn to meditate and enjoy the many benefits it brings. Come and find out how!

About this Event

You will receive a link to each class one hour before each class becomes available to view.

CLASS LINKS ARE VALID FOR 7 DAYS - if you can't make it on Thursday at 7.00pm, now you can view at a time to suit you. Or watch it again!

The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful.

By training in meditation, we create an inner space and clarity that enables us to control our mind regardless of the external circumstances. Gradually we develop mental equilibrium, a balanced mind that is happy all the time, rather than an unbalanced mind that oscillates between the extremes of excitement and despondency.

22 October: HAPPINESS, HEALTH AND MEDITATION

Our happiness and health depend upon the state of our mind. With meditation we can gain control of our mind and cultivate the real causes of happiness that do not depend upon external conditions.

29 October: SOLVING OUR PROBLEMS

Discover how we can remain cool and calm in any situation by practising patient acceptance. As a result find the space in your mind to react to problems positively and with clarity and wisdom.

5 November: A BALANCED MIND

By training our mind in equanimity we shall experience a balanced mind free from strong feelings of craving and aversion which are the source of most of our problems. This state of mind is the essential basis for developing beneficial minds like love and compassion.

12 November: BEING NATURALLY POSITIVE

By understanding how our happiness depends upon inner wealth and realisations, we can come to see others as precious. Such an exalted view of others will naturally lead to positive feelings and with such an attitude it will not be difficult to find lasting happiness.

Everyone is welcome. Perfect for beginners and more experienced meditators

Each booking is per person and you are welcome to book for more than one person if you are sharing the class with someone in your household.

These classes will be taught by Resident Teacher and Buddhist nun Kelsang Malaya who has over 20 years experience of meditation.

These classes is for people who are living in and around Peterborough. This includes our branch classes at Boston, Crowland, Ely, Huntingdon, March, Spalding and Stamford and people in those areas. If this does not apply to you, then please contact us at info@drolmacentre.org.uk for details.
