<p>Join our <em>Fertility in the 21st Century </em>public lecture series as we consider the latest social, cultural, and scientific developments around fertility. </p><ul><li>What do we know about the biological window? </li><li>How do chemical environments impact our chances of becoming a parent? </li><li>What are the misconceptions about conception?</li></ul><p></p><p>Wednesday 19 October, 7pm</p><h2>The Fertile Years  &amp;  Biochemical Pathways to Fertility </h2><p>In this special two-part launch of the series, Prof Joanna Bridger &amp; Dr Sabrina Tosi will explore <em>The Fertile Years. </em>This series opener offers a biological perspective of how eggs and sperm are made, the wonders of what happens when they meet at conception, how implantation occurs; and the impact age and alternative remedies have on these processes. </p><p>Dr Manos Karteris and Prof Amanda Harvey will then offer a biochemical view of the molecules, vitamins, hormones and pathways that lead to fertility, those that can be used to enhance fertility and protect the health of a developing foetus.  </p><p></p><p>Prof Joanna Bridger,  Dr Sabrina Tosi, Dr Manos Karteris and Prof Amanda Harvey  </p><p>Centre for Genome Engineering and Maintenance (CenGEM), Brunel University London  </p>
