Are you looking to put on your first exhibition and not sure where to start? Or are you looking for tips and tricks on how to improve your exhibition game? This session, delivered by Convenience Gallery, will share tips and tricks on how you can put on a boss exhibition.The first part of this session will focus on:<ul><li>Planning</li><li>Locations</li><li>programming</li><li>Promotion</li><li>Community engagement</li></ul>The second part of this session will be interactive and attendees will get the chance to plan their own exhibition, with the support and guidance of Convenience Gallery. We recommend people have examples of their work, or work they find inspiring (images on your phone are fine - no need to bring physical works).Discussion and Quick fire Q&amp;Q to finish.---About the Practitioner: Andrew Shaw is Co-Founder and director of <a href="https://www.conveniencegallery.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Convenience Gallery</a>. Andy works across Convenience Gallery on curation, programming, marketing, design, communication, admin and finance, future planning, funding and pretty much everything it takes to run a business really alongside Ryan Gauge. He studied Interactive Arts at University and has a background working in graphic design and marketing, as well as in structural steel. About Convenience Gallery: Convenience is a not for profit, creative arts platform based in Birkenhead. Since 2019 convenience have been on a mission to create accessible ways for communities to engage and be enriched through the arts.

About the programme:This session is part of a programme of workshops designed to provide tailored support to artists, makers and creatives living in the Liverpool City Region. Devised by <a href="https://makecic.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Make CIC </a>and in partnership with <a href="https://www.baltic-creative.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Baltic Creative CIC</a>, each workshop is delivered in person by local expert practitioners who are able to share knowledge and valuable insight on each chosen topic.About Eligibility:This session is open to individuals living in the Liverpool City Region (Liverpool, Sefton, Knowsley, Wirral, St Helens, or Halton) only.This session is part of a wider project called <a href="https://makecic.org/enterprise-hub/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Enterprise Hub Skills </a>which is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF). In order to access this support for free, all attendees are required to prove their eligibility in line with ESF's funding requirements. FAQsWhat are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?By Car: There is free, 2 hour, on street parking outside 49 Jamaica Street and in the surrounding area. By Train: The nearest Train Station to the venue is Liverpool Central Station and it's a 15 minute walk away or you can pick up the 82 which drops you near the venue. By Bus: The venue is situated in the Baltic Triangle. All Bus routes can be found <a href="https://moovitapp.com/index/en-gb/public_transportation-Baltic_Triangle-North_West-site_22891003-2105" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</a>. By Bike or E-shooter: <a href="https://liverpool.gov.uk/parking-roads-and-travel/getting-around-liverpool/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">VOI Scooters </a>are regularly available at this venue and cycle lock stands are situated outside the venue. on Jamaica Street.Will refreshments be available?The venue (The Shed meeting space) is situated at 49 Jamaica Street, AKA 92 Degrees Coffee Shop. They have a variety of food and drink available. Water will be provided at this session. How accessible is the venue?The venue is fully accessible and is situated on the ground floor at 49 Jamaica Street. RegistrationAttendees will need to complete additional registration requirements for this session no later that 1 week before the event takes place.
