This session is for you if your role or part of your role involves marketing and communications for your organisation.

Connected Voice Support and Development helps organisations to run successfully and make a positive difference in their communities. This training is for Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations serving Gateshead. There is an <a href="https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/marketing-campaigns-developing-a-clear-strategy-for-your-communications-tickets-411108325067">additional session</a> that is open to organisations serving Newcastle taking place in November.This session is for you if your role or part of your role involves marketing and communications for your organisation. Using a strategic approach to your marketing and communications will help to focus your efforts and be more effective – it is a crucial part of how you achieve your organisation’s aims. This introductory session will cover:<ul><li>The key ingredients of a communications strategy</li><li>The importance of understanding your audience (who you are trying to reach / influence)</li><li>Different types of campaigns and choosing the right communication channels</li><li>Tips on creating effective content</li></ul>Spaces are limited to a maximum of two attendees per organisation.Our training is funded from a variety of sources and free to eligible organisations. Please check the eligibility requirements for each session before signing up, as this varies from course to course. We have taken every step to make this as simple, accessible and secure as possible. We will be able to advise on how to access the session easily and without having to download software. Zoom can be accessed by a smartphone, or any device with a camera and microphone such as a laptop, tablet or desktop computer.Accessibility All our Zoom training and events will have closed captions (automatic subtitles) enabled. We can also provide a BSL interpreter for training and events on request, but ask you to give us enough advance notice to enable this to be organised. To maximise resources, we are unable to provide BSL interpreters for all sessions unless we know this is essential.Evaluation This training session is free to attend but we ask that all participants complete a short evaluation on completion. This feedback enables us to continue delivering a free programme of training.For security and practical reasons: You can only book one place for yourself, using the email address you use on the device you'll be using to participate in the online session. If a colleague wants to attend, they will need to book separately themselves. You must give us all the essential information requested so that we know your registration is genuine.Joining instructions and any handouts or worksheets, will be emailed to you 24 hours ahead of the session start time by the named person hosting the session. It is essential you do not share this with anyone not registered to attend. Anyone not on the registration list will not be allowed into the session.Attendance and substitution On registration, please put the session you have booked for into your diary. We expect people who have registered to prioritise attendance and to make every effort to attend.If circumstances change, you must advise us as soon as possible if you cannot attend so that the place isn’t wasted. You must also advise us if a substitute person from your organisation is attending in your place. We will be monitoring non-attendance, and may not accept future bookings from regular non-attenders
