<h2>B﻿iography: Nigel Curry</h2><p>Professor Nigel Curry founded and directed the Countryside and Community Research Institute from 1986 to 2014 and is currently a Visiting Professor at the University of Lincoln. He is on the Action with Communities in Rural England Board and has been a Rural Community Council Trustee in both Gloucestershire and Lincolnshire. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate for his contribution to community development in 2021, by Bishop Grosseteste University.</p>

<h2>B﻿iography: Edward Richardson</h2><h3>The reasoning behind the lack of farmer motivation going forward and the role of farm support networks</h3><p>E﻿dward has worked in agriculture all his life whilst at school and after leaving, working on a number of mixed farms across the country before his first farm management job in 1990 at Durham College of Agriculture for 14 years. Whilst there he also undertook a MBA at Durham University.
</p><p>He ran his own organic box scheme outside Durham for 5 years,  growing his own veg, fruit and chickens, and delivering to 300 families a week. He was also a farm manager in Cumbria on a mixed farm. 
</p><p>Edward moved to Cornwall in 2010 as a farm adviser and rural outreach worker for Farm Cornwall, which is a charity set up by a group of farmers and landowners to support struggling farmers with business advice, mental health first aid and Assist Suicide Prevention, pastoral support, technical advice, relationship/succession advice, BPS and stewardship schemes and general farm advice. Farm Cornwall is supported by charitable trusts and by paid-for work and has been running since 2001.

<h2>B﻿iography: Amy Thomas</h2><h3>Who Cares About Food Security?</h3><p>Amy Thomas is Head of Charity for Lincolnshire Rural Support Network, a regional charity that provides pastoral and practical help to Lincolnshire’s farming, agricultural and rural families in times of crisis, stress and change.  Amy has worked in charity settings for over 20 years, with a focus on supporting people living in rural communities.  Before joining LRSN in Summer 2021, Amy worked as Partnership Manager for The Centre for Ageing Better, and as Director of Communities for YMCA Lincolnshire and Community Lincs.  Amy is passionate about improving the lives and wellbeing of the residents of rural Lincolnshire; giving them the skills, resources, connections, and confidence to deliver a better future for themselves, the people they care about and the communities they live in.  </p>
