Mind Matters: Sustaining Your Emotional Health Workshop

<h3><strong>This online course is part of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Mind Matters Initiative and is open to all members of the veterinary practice team.</strong></h3><p>Sustaining emotional health is vital. It allows us to cope more effectively with the highs and lows of professional and personal life and helps prevent the development of common mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. The Mind Matters Initiative recognises just how challenging and emotionally taxing it can be to work in the veterinary professions and therefore how important it is to equip veterinary professionals with the skills they need to look after their emotional health. </p><p>This ‘Sustaining Your Emotional Health’ training session, run by Two Roads Charity, aims to aid in the development of emotional defences against common mental health issues.</p>

<h3><strong>On 25 October we will be holding a three-hour training session via Zoom. </strong></h3><h3>Please note that this is in an interactive training session, rather than a webinar, and will <strong>not </strong>be available on demand. </h3><h3></h3><h3><strong>Timings:</strong></h3><p>2:00pm - Course starts</p><p>5:00pm – Course finishes</p><p>There will be a short break in the middle of the course. </p><h3></h3><h3></h3><h3><strong>CPD:</strong></h3><p>Don’t forget, you can count this towards your CPD! </p>

<p></p><h3><strong>Information about course:</strong></h3><h3><strong>The programme content</strong></h3><p>Pursuit of Wellbeing: Evidence based strategies to build and maintain your emotional health.</p><p>Our three-hour ‘Sustaining Your Emotional Health’ programme is run by the award-winning mental health training provider, Two Roads Charity. This programme will explain how you can invest in your emotional wellbeing and provide practical evidence-based strategies to aid in moving from lethargic mental health, to flourishing mental health.</p><p>What to expect…</p><ul><li>Understanding the Mental Health spectrum and the language of mental and emotional health</li><li>What emotional wellbeing is and it’s three elements  </li><li>What investing in your emotional health can and cannot achieve</li><li>Three is the magic number: the wellbeing ratio</li><li>Evidence based actions to move you towards a state of emotional wellbeing</li><li>Monitoring your wellbeing using the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale  </li><li>Maintaining your wellbeing, the skills of emotional recovery and sustainability </li></ul>

Failure to do so will result in someone else missing out on the session. In this case, please contact the RCVS events team events@rcvs.org.uk, so that your place can be reallocated.</p><p><strong>Can you reserve me a place and I book at a later date?</strong></p><p>Sorry, we are unable to reserve places, tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.</p><p><strong>How can I access the course? </strong></p><p>You will be emailed joining instructions a few days before the course. </p><p><strong>I﻿s the training recorded? </strong></p><p>A﻿s it is an interactive training session where the group will be sharing experiences, the event will not be recorded and available on demand. </p><p><strong></strong></p>
