IDEAL Programme

How does technology enable people with dementia? Come along to hear insights from research and real-life experience!

This is a free online event via Zoom. We will start at five past two (14:05) and end at five to (14:55) to allow people to get between different events. We are the<a href="https://www.idealproject.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> IDEAL dementia research programme</a>, and have our main base at the University of Exeter.In this eighth session of the IDEAL Webinar Series, we consider assistive technology (AT), or technology designed to help. Nowadays, there are many options for technology in the home to help people to continue living independently, but which types of technology are most useful? What kinds of benefits do ATs bring? Does the technology that people with dementia use change over time? What recommendations could be made about dementia and technology? This webinar uses new research to explore these kinds of questions.In this session you will hear from:<ul><li>Dr Cate Henderson, Assistant Professorial Research Fellow in the Care Policy and Evaluation Centre (CPEC) at the London School of Economics (LSE) and economist on the IDEAL programme.</li><li>Jacqui from the ALWAYs involvement group, who lives with dementia.
