It covers 28.5 acres and is open to students of all ages. We offer courses at all levels, and this campus is also home to the East London Institute of Technology.Barking Campus - Technical Skills AcademyThe Technical Skills Academy offers courses in ESOL, business, IT, food studies and English and maths, with professional salons, kitchens and more.

Join us at BDC and experience the thrill of top tier competition as we host the UK’s best students and apprentices as they compete for gold!Designed by industry experts WorldSkills UK, competitions help young people to develop their technical skills and boost their confidence. We are delighted to host these prestigious competitions in college and offer your students the chance to see and be inspired by live competition.Join us on Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th November from 10am - 2.30pm, when we are hosting 11 finals in the following subjects:<ul><li>Laboratory Technician</li><li>Electronic Security Systems</li><li>Fire Detection and Alarm Systems</li><li>Refrigeration and Air Conditioning</li><li>Industry 4.0</li><li>Automation</li><li>Mechatronics</li><li>Floristry</li><li>Accountancy Technician</li></ul>Running alongside these competitions is a bespoke programme of inspirational careers advisory events. Curated in partnership with WorldSkills UK this programme highlights the breadth of apprenticeships, T-levels and technical education on offer in the UK. Designed to fit around the school day and to support 13–15-year-olds decide on their subjects and career paths, the programme will include ‘have a go’ taster sessions, and practical workshops, combined with the opportunity to talk directly to employers and industry experts.Support with Travel costsWe are also pleased to announce that WorldSkills UK has a limited number of bursaries available to help with the cost of group travel from your school.
