We're reaching out to Carers living in the South part of the borough (NW9 and surrounding areas)

Colindale Community Trust

Barnet Carers is co-working with the Local Authority to compose a revised 'Carers Strategy' for the next 5 years. The intention of the Strategy is to ensure carers and young carers feel recognised and valued, and to emphasise how fundamental their role is, not only for the people they care for, but for wider society. We hope to do this by hearing the views of carers, identifying priority needs and pulling these views together to draw up a strategy that will be committed to addressing these needs over the next 5 years. We hope that this strategy will ensure that carers and young carers have the opportunity to co-produce services with the Local Authority (and ourselves), which are intended to offer appropriate support to carers that will enable them to find balance between their caring responsibilities and a life of their own.Your views are what counts, so we are targeting Carers in all parts of the borough, with varying responsibilities and from all walks of life to ensure we are representing all Carers in our borough. On this occasion we are encouraging Carers living in the South part of the borough (NW9 and surrounding areas) to join us in taking part in a group discussion that will explore your experiences with caring, what services have worked well and what would support you with making your caring role feel more 'manageable'.All participants who take part in this focus group will receive a £20 Amazon voucher as a thank you for your time and commitment to the cause.
