Drawing Projects UK was created in 2009 to develop and promote research initiatives in drawing, including the Jerwood Drawing Prize project, now known as the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize. In 2015, established and the remit of Drawing Projects UK expanded to form a drawing network and community through a range of complementary activities. With a project space, exhibition space, workspaces for artists, designers, creative and cultural enterprises, bookable meeting rooms and cafe, Drawing Projects UK is a unique creative and cultural hub, and is conveniently located adjacent to Trowbridge railway station.

Online Drawing Session with Chloe Briggs - Making a Drawing  / Book the Size of a Smart Phone

Once again, we are delighted to have commissioned Chloe Briggs, AKA Drawing is Free, to devise an Education Pack to accompany the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2022 exhibition.The drawing projects or prompts, devised by Chloe for the Education Pack, playfully explore a range of materials and their application in and through drawing. The aim is to provide inspiration for others - for everyone - to draw and be inspired by the 134 wonderful drawings included in the exhibition this year.The full Education Pack is downloadable for free from the Drawing is Free website from the evening of 28 September. The booklet contains 8 prompts and exercises and is organized by material used. Each two-page spread is dedicated to a specific medium (Biro, pen, charcoal), and is illustrated by work from some of Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2022 artists.During this Drawing Session you will make a simple folded drawing book the same size as your smart phone. You will need a large sheet of drawing paper to make it, scissors, and some small pencils to draw with.
