Do you love being creative, making your own logos or art? If you answered yes, this is the workshop for you! This FREE 3-week course is the perfect introduction to getting creative with vinyl. During the course, you will learn how to use design software to create your own logos, designs or art piece. Once you&#x27;ve completed your masterpiece we will use vinyl cutting software and a vinyl cutter to transfer your designs into heat transfer vinyl. Then we will use this to create various customised merchandise that features your own bespoke design.What this course will cover:<ul><li>Drafting logos or art designs</li><li>Create a design in Silhouette Studio </li><li>Cut out design in heat transfer vinyl with a vinyl cutter</li><li>Heat press designs onto tote bags </li><li>Showing off your finished tote bag</li></ul>What will I get out of these workshops?Our courses are more than simply learning new skills - they are empowering, and inspiring and have a much wider positive impact on everyone taking part. The Cut and Craft with Vinyl course is part of our Digital Skills for All project. The aim of this project is to bring local people together to learn new digital art techniques, whilst having the opportunity to express creativity through digital art. The classes are small and informal, with tutors and participants supporting each other in developing their skills and creativity, whilst socialising together. Signing for this course to learn new skills will: <ul><li>Help you to feel less lonely and isolated, by introducing you to new people in a relaxed environment. </li><li>Give you an opportunity to be creative, and socialise with others, which can have a positive impact on your mental health. </li><li>Help you to develop new skills &amp; inspire you to try new things; building your confidence &amp; having a positive impact on your wellbeing. </li><li>Give you an opportunity to access technology for creative and educational purposes. </li></ul> EligibilityTo take part you:<ul><li>Must be Aged 19+ </li><li>Must be from Halton</li><li>May be NEET (young adult not in education, employment or training)</li><li>May live in a low-income household</li><li>May be experiencing poor mental health </li><li>May be experiencing health inequalities</li><li>May be lonely or feel socially isolated</li></ul>You will need to have basic IT skills e.g. be able to operate tablet devices and laptops, but you do not need any experience in digital arts or using design software.When does the project start?This project is made up of 3 weekly, 2-hour sessions. The sessions will be held on Monday mornings from 10am - 12pm on the following dates:<ul><li>Monday 3rd October</li><li>Monday 10th October</li><li>Monday 17th October</li></ul>Where will the sessions take place?Grangeway Community Centre, Grangeway, Runcorn WA7 5HAHow much does it cost? This course is part of our Digital Skills for All project and it is FREE of charge thanks to funding from <a href="https://cfmerseyside.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Community Foundation for Merseyside</a>. What equipment should I bring?Digital Arts Box CIC will bring all of the equipment needed to participate in this session, however, if you own a laptop, whether it&#x27;s a Mac or Windows machine, you can bring this along to the sessions.
