The largest conference for aspiring writers in the North of England returns in-person for 2022.

Book your ticket for the National Creative Writing Industry Conference 2022, a full day of events for aspiring writers to gain insight into the publishing industry and advice on how to excel in their practice. Featuring:<ul><li>A keynote speech from Vanessa Onwuemezi</li></ul><ul><li>Two panels, one on getting your work to publication with industry experts and another on writing through the Climate Crisis </li></ul><ul><li>Two workshops ran by The Literacy Consultancy on 'How to write a synopsis' to prepare you for the agent sessions in the afternoon</li></ul><ul><li>A choice of eight workshops including Nature Writing with Anita Sethi and Marketing Yourself as an Author with Jordan Taylor Jones. In order to schedule the agent 1-1's the workshops will be released closer to the time on a first come first served basis, more information to follow. </li></ul><ul><li>2 x one-to-one meeting with an agent to either pitch, or seek advice on, your work-in-progress </li></ul><ul><li>A number of drop-in sessions ran by stalls present on the day </li></ul>If you are looking for one of our (limited) bursary tickets for Greater Manchester residents or underrepresented writers, please apply by contacting nia.thomas@commapress.co.uk who will provide a promotional code for these tickets if you are eligible. When selecting your genre choices for your agent meets, please make sure you have at least two different options. Please do not choose three of the same genre. You will be contacted and asked for a second choice is this occurs. Attendees will be emailed their timetable and all relevant information the week of the conference. Refunds will only be possible up to 7 days before the event date. Please note that a refund fee will apply.
