Learning and Teaching Academy

This keynote presentation and discussion, from Dr Liz Austen of Sheffield Hallam University, will focus on gathering evidence with students.

Keynote: &quot;Working alongside students to evaluate teaching, learning and assessment practices&quot;9-10am UK| 12-1pm Dubai| 4-5pm MalaysiaAbstract: This keynote presentation and discussion will focus on gathering evidence with students. It will explore practical approaches for understanding what is working, and not working, within teaching, learning and assessment. It will also ask attendees to consider the purpose and benefits of evaluation, and what critical questions may aid reflection and lead to enhancements.Biography: Previously a Principal Lecturer in Criminology, Liz is now Head of Evaluation and Research at Sheffield Hallam University and a Visiting Professor at Staffordshire University. Liz leads institutional and sector wide research and evaluation in higher education at her institution and as an independent HE consultant. She is well known for her work on using evidence for enhancement of student outcomes and exploring methods of hearing student voices, specifically championing creative approaches and ethical practices.*This session will be held on Zoom.
