Purpose:

This series of sessions for stakeholders (pls note will be the same session, run several times on different days to maximise opportunities for people to be able to attend) will be SG International Development Team led, with a presentation to provide an update on future shape of our Programme for 2023+, next steps in terms of funding opportunities, and will give space for participants to ask questions.

We respectfully ask that individuals attend one session only, to allow as broad a range of people to attend as possible. We are particularly keen to ensure attendance from groups that might otherwise be under-represented.

Context:

During 2021/22, we have been working on and designing new programming to take effect from 2023, which will be in line with the outcomes of our 2021 Review (see more info on that below). Our new programming will therefore include funding:

under a new equalities programme
to support sustainable recovery from COVID;
to support institutional resilience
ongoing funding to support global solidarity/global citizenship

Further, as both an objective, and as a mainstreamed priority in all spending, we will:

ensure feminist approach is mainstreamed in spending
mainstream climate justice considerations
take a decolonised/BLM lens on our investments in supporting to shift power South.

The redesign of our Programme for 2023+ is the start of a change process. We will continue to align and adjust our Programme incrementally over the years that follow, in line with best development practice.
