<h2>Beyond Isca: new evidence for Roman expansion in South West Britain</h2><h3>a talk by Dr. Chris Smart</h3><h3>Postponed from 13th October 2022 - now 5th Jan. 2023.</h3>

<p>This lecture will draw upon latest research undertaken as part of the University of Exeter's 'Unlocking Landscapes' project, which is taking a crowd-sourced approach to the mapping of archaeological landscapes in the South West using new LiDAR data. It will explore the wider extent of Roman military activity that is now apparent, its context, as well as present evidence for a far-reaching road network crossing the region.</p><p><strong>This presentation will take place via Zoom, and will be followed by a Q&A session.  Attendees will receive a link by email after registration, and on the day of the talk. The meeting room will open to the public at 7:15pm with the talk starting at 7:30pm.</strong></p>
