The National Museum of Computing (TNMOC) is home to the world's largest collection of working historic computers.Follow the development of computing: from the Turing-Welchman Bombe and Colossus of the 1940s through the large systems and mainframes of the 1950s, 60s and 70s, to the rise of personal computing and the rise of mobile computing and the internet.Recognised as one of England’s top 100 ‘irreplaceable places’, we welcome corporate and group visits, schools and individuals from all over the world.We are normally open Tuesday to Friday 10:30 -17:00, Saturday & Sunday 10:30 – 17:00. Raspberry Pi Pico – Analogue SensorsThis workshop will give you hands-on knowledge to use the Raspberry Pi Pico RP2040 for analogue sensors. You will be writing MicroPython code for using analogue temperature and light sensors. You will also acquire a foundation of electronics for sensors on the Pico’s ADC ports. This course will use our Pico Development Kit, which you will take away with you at the end.We shall start with a skeleton program that sets up the Pico on the Development motherboard and learn some debugging techniques. Then you will add electronics and MicroPython code to build a working system that monitors, then reports and logs changes in temperature and light conditions. For each stage, an explanation will be given so that you can use it in your own projects.At the end of the workshop, you will be able to develop MicroPython code and electronics for analogue sensors on the Raspberry Pi Pico. You will understand some of the Strengths &amp; limitations of the Pico and how to solve some of the problems that await the uninitiated.
