Solace Women's Aid

This two-part virtual training looks at providing effective support to survivors of VAWG experiencing multiple disadvantage.  Part 1 of 2

This is an interactive virtual training session that will involve discussion and exercises with the group. This training is delivered in two parts and attendees will need to book onto both parts separately.Part 1: Domestic Abuse, 3 November 2022Part 2: Multiple Disadvantage and Trauma-Informed Practice, 10 November 2022 This training looks at domestic abuse within the context of VAWG and the impact of this traumatic experience on survivors. Attendees will gain an understanding of domestic abuse, the impact of trauma on survivors of abuse and an understanding of the needs and vulnerabilities of survivors facing multiple disadvantage, particularly those with mental health and substance use support needs.
