The National Museum of Computing (TNMOC) is home to the world's largest collection of working historic computers.Follow the development of computing: from the Turing-Welchman Bombe and Colossus of the 1940s through the large systems and mainframes of the 1950s, 60s and 70s, to the rise of personal computing and the rise of mobile computing and the internet.Recognised as one of England’s top 100 ‘irreplaceable places’, we welcome corporate and group visits, schools and individuals from all over the world.We are normally open Tuesday to Friday 10:30 -17:00, Saturday & Sunday 10:30 – 17:00. Please check tickets for actual opening days and times.TNMOC operates independently of Bletchley Park Trust, although we are located on the Bletchley Park Estate.To visit us, go through the main Bletchley Park entrance, through the barrier, walk or drive bearing left beyond the main car parks, to our separate entrance located at the top of the Park.Visit their website here for more information.https://www.tnmoc.org/Sat Nav users: please use the postcode for the railway station MK3 6DS on Sherwood Drive and then follow signs. About the Museum: At The National Museum of Computing, voted one of England&#x27;s &#x27;Top 100 Irreplaceable Places&#x27;, the evolution of Computing will unfold before your eyes. Journey from the early electro-mechanical code breaking machines of WWII and the world&#x27;s first entirely digital semi-programmable computer, discovering how technology evolved from valves and early semiconductors to the modern microprocessors we use today. You will uncover the development of large mainframes, supercomputers and scientific mini-computers, responsible for process control from office-based systems to airspace! Finish by exploring the rise of personal computing, mobile computing and the advent of the internet and smart devices, bringing you up-to-date by examining how this technology has revolutionised the way we now interact with machines and each other. Cyber Champions aims to create a better-connected society, which supports local communities to upskill and confidently develop cyber safety best practices.Codename Cipher - The year is 1940 and you have been invited to Bletchley Park to assist in the war effort. Explore the museum and learn more about Encryption to end WWII in this immersive experience.VR Experience - Step into another world with our Oculus Headsets; build communication skills by collaboratively solving fast-paced problems requiring abstraction, decomposition and computational thinking.L﻿ightly Guided - A dedicated guide will be available to talk you through any specific areas of the museum that might be of interest before visiting our collection of retro games (yes, you can play them!) and a trip to our small museum shop.Internet &amp; Protocols - Students investigate how the internet works in this practical and interactive presentation.
