Event to highlight the barriers and facilitators of COVID vaccine uptake among the UK Chinese communities.

University of Leicester School of Business, Lecture Theatre 1, Brookfield Campus, London Road, Leicester, LE2 1RQ

The aim of these sessions is to discuss COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy and the barriers and facilitators of COVID vaccine uptake. Three videos have been produced which address some of the barrier/facilitator issues, and include 1) an interview with a doctor about COVID-19 vaccines, 2) a quick-fact animation about the vaccines (types, possible side effects, how to access and misinformation) and 3) stories of vaccination of three members of the Chinese community. Following screening attendees will be encouraged to give feedback on the videos.

The events will help improve the attendees’ knowledge about the COVID-19 vaccines and help them make informed health decisions about vaccine uptake.
