Promote healthy bowels and bladders in your setting and support families with potty training.  For all practitioners/childminders. Two sess.

ERIC is the childrens&#x27;s bowel and bladder charity.Let&#x27;s Go Potty, Parts 1 and 2, Mon 14/11/22, Mon 21/11/22, 6 45pm - 9pmThe first two sessions will give you the current, best advice on potty training and also the problems that can arise during toilet training with best practice advice on how to manage or overcome common childhood continence problems such as constipation, daytime wetting and behavioural issues, such as fear of the toilet.- Understand how bowels and bladders work and how to keep them functioning properly - Become more confident about supporting families with a structured approach to potty and toilet training - Identify and understand the early signs of continence problems and know where to go for help. - Identify how much a child should be drinking daily, what healthy poo looks like and how often children should be going to the toilet - Gain best practice tips to implement within your setting following the training.Everyone must attend the first two sessions if they want to attend Part 3 additional needs focus session, as this is when we explain healthy bladders and bowels and treatment of constipation. Let’s Go Potty Part 3: 28/11/22, Mon 6 45pm - 9pm Additional needs Focus on supporting children with additional needs with successful toileting and information on overcoming challenges. •	Understand why toilet training might be delayed for children with additional needs•	Learn how to assess readiness and recognise how constipation/bladder problems can affect successful toileting•	Gain insight into sensory issues and their impact upon children•	Get equipped with tried and tested strategies that can be adopted to assist successful toilet training Everyone must attend the first two sessions if they want to attend Part 3, additional needs focus session, as this is when we explain healthy bladders and bowels and treatment of constipation.
