‘Joining the Dots: connecting Learning for Sustainability and the National Discussion on Education’ #TalkScottishEducation

<h3>The need to support learners of all ages to contribute building a socially-just, sustainable and equitable society has never been greater. </h3>To step up action on Learning for Sustainability, a refresh of Scotland’s <a href="https://education.gov.scot/education-scotland/scottish-education-system/policy-for-scottish-education/policy-drivers/learning-for-sustainability/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Learning for Sustainability Action Plan</a> is currently underway.This is also a time of change for Scotland’s education system. The Scottish Government and COSLA have launched the ‘most inclusive ever <a href="https://consult.gov.scot/national-discussion-scottish-education/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">National Discussion</a> on education in Scotland with learners playing a key part in decision-making’. What are the most important priorities for a future education system? What kind of education, skills, knowledge and support will young people require to positively contribute to our changing world? This meeting aims to provide an opportunity to:•	Engage with the current national education and Learning for Sustainability policy agendas •	Consider how Learning for Sustainability contributes to the future vision for Scotland’s education system•	Find out how to involve others in contributing to the National Discussion on educationJoin us and Professor Alma Harris, co-facilitator of the National Discussion, for this opportunity to hear more about, discuss and feed into one of the most important discussions on the direction of Scottish education in recent years.
