The fourth in a course of five relaxing nature-writing workshops exploring the theme of nature in an urban environment.

This is one of a programme of five relaxed and uplifting Zoom workshops in which I hope to inspire you to find nature positivity in any environment.T﻿ickets are flexibly priced - please pay what you can. A limited number of tickets will be sold at £2.88, approximately the price of an average cup of coffee in London.Each workshop will be timetabled twice - first on Thursday evening and then on Friday evening - with identical content. A zoom link will be emailed to ticket holders approximately 24 hours before each event.While each of the five workshops will be self-contained, participants who join all five workshops in the programme will benefit from:<ul><li>Exploring different aspects of nature in the urban environment;</li><li>Hearing a range of examples of nature writing relating to the theme;</li><li>Trying out a number of creative writing exercises;</li><li>Submitting examples of their own nature writing for an online workshop anthology. </li></ul>Workshop fourIn the fourth workshop we'll be writing about nature journeys in an urban environment and draft a 50 word piece of #ThumbnailNature on the topic of "destination urban nature".Pre-workshop activity: Before the workshop participants are asked to make an urban journey - anything from a mental journey exploring a view out of a window, to a few metres of movement, to a car/bus/train trip - and notice urban nature as they travel. About the workshop leaderAmanda Tuke is a nature writer, botanist and birder based in suburban south London. She writes a monthly column for Bird Watching Magazine, contributes to the London Wildlife Trust blog and has written for BBC Countryfile and Resurgence &amp; Ecologist Magazines. Amanda is in the pool of associate lecturers in creative writing at Bath Spa University and also blogs about <a href="https://suburbanwild.wordpress.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">nature</a> and her <a href="https://freelancenaturewriter.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">freelance nature-writing journey</a>.
