At a time of extreme economic instability and a cost-of-living crisis which threatens social and cultural coherence, how can creative partnerships between cultural institutions, universities and colleges act as a positive force for change within their communities?Using South Yorkshire as the lens for exploration, this event, brought to you by the <a href="https://civicuniversitynetwork.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Civic University Network</a> (Sheffield Hallam University), <a href="https://www.artscouncil.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Arts Council England </a>and <a href="https://cultureforumnorth.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Culture Forum North</a>, will bring together a panel of institutional leaders and cultural experts to explore the role of such partnerships across diverse sectors.PanelDarren Henley - Chief Executive, Arts Council England

10:00 - Arrival &amp; refreshments10:30 - Panel event &amp; audience Q&amp;A12:15 - African Heritage Culture Forum launch 12:30 - Lunch &amp; Networking14:30 - CloseThe panel will explore their perspectives on overcoming barriers and developing opportunities for cultural partnerships, building on the recently published Culture Forum North <a href="http://cultureforumnorth.co.uk/our-new-vision/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">New Vision for Partnership</a>. It follows on from the successful launch of the <a href="https://www.showroomworkstation.org.uk/workstation/creative-network" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">South Yorkshire Cultural and Creative Industries Network</a>, established last year by the Showroom Workstation and South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority to boost the region’s sector via collaboration.  Key findings will be shared nationally through the Civic University Network and Culture Forum North.The event will also feature the launch of the <a href="https://www.sheffieldculture.co.uk/ahcf/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">African Heritage Culture Forum</a> presented by Des Smith Chair, African Heritage Culture Forum, and an afternoon session of Networking.Attendees from all sectors and locations are warmly welcomed.A small number of travel bursaries are available for any freelance arts practitioners wishing to travel to the event. Please contact CultureForumNorth@leeds.ac.ukAny queries should be directed to civicuniversity@shu.ac.uk
