Arachne Pressis a micro publisher based in South London, specialising in short story anthologies, but branching out into Young Adult novels and poetry. We love reading our stuff aloud, and decided to help other people do the same, and so we run lots of live events, including The Solstice SHorts Festival, often including music with our stories and poems.

Introducing Routes: poetry exploring the routes taken by Rhiya Pau’s family and community across three continents to arrive in the UK. At the core of this debut collection is a question – what is worth holding onto?Through poetic experiments that blend the academic and the artistic, Rhiya Pau queries complex characters and tender landscapes. Routes journeys from Ba’s kitchen in Sonia Gardens to Independence hour in Delhi, across the pink shores of Nakuru, to meet a painter on Lee High Road. &quot;Routes …holds up to the light the wisdom of the past, and asks what else is passed down along with it... In this multilingual discourse exhibiting vast formal range, Pau wrestles with language, narrative and memory, daring to navigate their collective fallibilities to create her own identity.PLEASE NOTE, ALTHOUGH HOSTED BY KEATS HOUSE, THIS EVENT IS IN THE KEATS HOUSE LIBRARY, NOT IN THE ACTUAL HOUSE - IT&#x27;S RIGHT NEXT DOOR.The launch will feature poetry readings and a Q and A with Rhiya Pau.Books will be available to buy and to get signed.Soft drinks and celebratory cake will be served. Rhiya Pau is a British-born poet of Indian heritage from a community that has a rich history of migration. She writes to chronicle the stories of her community and narrate the exploration of her own identity through the lenses of travel, food, ritual and language. Rhiya is the Platinum Poetry winner of the 2021 Creative Future Writers’ Award and holds a BA from the University of Oxford.
