Genetics, and an understanding of DNA, is vital for scientists to understand how life on earth functions, how organisms grow and how they evolve and change. Join us for our next For Your Inspiration event in partnership with The Genetics Society, to exploring this fascinating topic and uncover how scientists are using cutting edge research to learn more about the amazing diversity of life on our planet. At this interactive event, you will hear from scientists working in a range of different areas of this sector, how their jobs are helping to improve our understanding of the world, and also how they became scientists. You will then can try out a range of activities and demonstrations run by researchers and companies from across the UK. This is your chance to meet and talk to experts and specialists as well as people just starting out in this field, and get hands on with ground-breaking scientific research from around the UK. The doors to the theatre will open at approximately 5.30pm, with a prompt start at 6.00pm. There will be time for questions after the talk.
