The pressure to support without putting too much pressure can put a strain on the parent-child relationship. </p><p>Many parents experience homework battles, children wavering from studies in the final weeks leading up to an exam, and big feelings being expressed in relation to the changes.</p><p>It shouldn’t feel like you’re dragging your child toward these opportunities</p><p>This is why our <strong>small group student mastermind</strong> is the perfect safe space for your child to become a resilient, self-motivated and confident learner, both within the classroom and beyond!</p><p>In fact, it’s the perfect way to ease pressure from the parent-child relationship as your child will learn to love the journey of learning and will no longer resent your nudge to get to work. </p><p>You have already done a fantastic job in providing them with all of the opportunities, now it’s time to help them become more independent and self-motivated with the help of our focused and intentional bi-weekly meetings.</p><p></p>

<h2>T﻿he Student Wellbeing Mastermind (Year 5/6)</h2><p>Our student wellbeing mastermind will be focused on 4 skills: resilience, self-awareness, critical thinking and empathy. </p><p>Woven amidst these four skills will be games, mindfulness games, group discussions, debates, film reviews, journaling and more. Our sessions, just like any other session, will be child-focused and engaging. </p><p>For both the Year 5/6 group and the Year 8/9 group, we'll focus this half term on looking at the brain: how it learns, how it remembers, how it deals with big emotions. </p><p>The difference will be in the presentation and the depth we cover each topic. </p><p>Students who are within the Bettering Youth community (have or are) working with a Bettering Youth tutor are entitled to attend these masterminds for the entire academic year at no cost. It's our way of saying thank you 🌟 Register now.</p><p></p><h2>T﻿his is offered at no cost</h2><p>Students who are within our community but have yet to work with us are encouraged to attend this half term November + December for no fee! View it as a free trial period. Thereafter, it will be 50.00 per half term. We also have a 'Pay What You Can' scheme to ensure access is granted to as many students as possible.</p><p></p><p>We will have a maximum of 10 students per mastermind so please don't delay. </p><p></p><p>Year 5/6 start Wednesday, November 9th at 7:30pm - 8:15pm</p><p>Year 8/9 start Wednesday, November 16th at 7:30pm - 8:15pm</p><h2></h2>

<h2>About Sarahlynn</h2><p>Sarahlynn is the head tutor and founder of <a href="https://betteringyouth.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Bettering Youth</a>, an academic tutoring company that blends emotional wellbeing coaching. She is an experienced teacher and is certified in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Mindfulness.</p><p></p><p>She has facilitated various successful student-focused initiatives and clubs and is passionate about making learning and wellbeing accessible to all.</p><p></p><p>She hosts r<a href="https://betteringyouth.co.uk/mindful-toolbox" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">egular parent trainings </a>to support student wellbeing and is the facilitator of the Wellbeing Hub within a community of over 1000 international tutors. Her dedication to student wellbeing is woven throughout her every action as she is passionate in providing opportunities for student empowerment both within and beyond the classroom. </p><p></p><p>When Sarahlynn is not teaching, training other tutors or working with parents, you can find her in the forest with her fury partner in crime or curled up with a craft.</p>
