<h2>Digital Social Care Record (DSCR) Minimum Operational Data Set (MODS)</h2><p>We are developing the Digital Social Care Record (DSCR) Minimum Operational Data Set (MODS). This data set is essentially a list of what information should be required in a Digital Social Care Record/Electronic Care Plan. For example, this would consist of core information including identifying data such as an individual’s name, date of birth or medications and referral information for direct care purposes. The primary objective of the MODS is to ensure consistent baseline data is collected across the adult social care sector. </p><p>The fields listed within the set should reflect the regulatory requirements, facilitate increased capability for sharing of information (called ‘interoperability’) between health and adult social care systems and be the start of aligning the core information needed to deliver improved care. </p><p>We have created the MODS in conjunction with various sector specialists and DSCR assured suppliers. We have also incorporated input from DHSC and CQC as part of their wider provider-level data developments.</p><p>To ensure that it is usable in a real-world context, however, we need input from people delivering care services. <strong>To achieve this, we are inviting you to participate in a webinar on Monday 28th November at 10am to review the latest release of the MODS. This could include, but is not limited to:</li><li>Owners of CQC-Registered Services</li><li>Registered Managers</li><li>Social Care Nurses</li><li>Senior Care Workers</li><li>Care Workers</li><li>Information Technology staff working with registered services</li><li>Anyone working within registered services with an interest on the subject</li><li>DSCR Assured Suppliers</li></ul><p>After the webinar, a questionnaire will be sent out to capture your feedback and this will be available to complete until Friday 9th December.</p><p></p><h2>Update on the Adult Social Care Terminology Product </h2><p>We have now concluded the discovery phase of our programme of work to develop a suite of adult social care terminology products that will enable local authorities, adult social care providers, and people and their families to share information quickly, easily and safely. </p><p>We have engaged with a range of stakeholders, investigated existing resources/initiatives and as a first step we have published the <a href="https://data.digitalsocialcare.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Digital Social Care Data Catalogue alpha</a> covering existing data collections and standards. </p><p>This will become a national &quot;home&quot; for adult social care data standards, where new and existing standards can be consolidated and published and where the community can discover and contribute to data best practice. Establishing the catalogue has been our primary focus but will also be the basis for developing consistent terminology. </p><p>We are committed to developing standards in the open and will continue to provide updates and publish the latest drafts of the catalogue via the <a href="https://www.digitalsocialcare.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Digital Social Care Website</a>.
