“A beautiful, captivating and delicious chanteuse.” - Chris Hawkins, BBC 6 MusicEclectic art-pop chanteuse Ch’Lu, entices and transforms with her Zeitgeist fusion of ethereal harmonies; relatable, multi-lingual lyrics and classical guitar arpeggiation. Both bewitching Ninja and entertaining Femme de la Renaissance, her signature Fairy Folktronica meets Cosmic Chanson sound is fuelled by her desire to expand consciousness and inspire positive change. Of Romanian/British parentage, Ch’Lu’s former work as Camilla Mathias has spanned thirteen languages, varying from performing live for BBC 6 Music , providing guitar for the Channel 4 award-winning Unreported World TV series; composing and performing her songs in the new London stage adaptation of Lorca’s Blood Wedding, and having her Romanian-Language track Sunt Româncâ selected for charity album Mitra Music For Nepal, produced by Annie Hogan ( Marc Almond ).
