Argyll &amp; Bute Museums &amp; Heritage Forum (ABMHF) will host an inclusive event on Thursday 23rd February 2023 in Oban, with delegates from all over Argyll and Bute, the islands and further afield in Scotland.UPDATE - FULL PROGRAMME - <a href="http://www.argyllheritage.org.uk/connecting-conversations-conference-programme/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">http://www.argyllheritage.org.uk/connecting-conversations-conference-programme/</a>We will be coming together in a hybrid meeting to explore our understanding of WHAT IS HERITAGE?Why is this important? A full review of heritage in Argyll and Bute has not been done for several years and in theIntervening years much has changed. A complete review of all the heritage and Bute will allow us to be more inclusive in very challenging times for the sector. Too often we confine our focus to the tangible: Museums, Archives, Castles but the wider story of our intangible heritage is hidden. The Forum is keen to understand far more about the wider scope of heritage in Argyll and Bute.Intangible heritage includes so much more of our lives and culture: food &amp; folklore; costume &amp; customs; skills and sports, language and literature.The Forum wants to listen and learn from delegates about the hidden cultural gems around our county, past and present.The first step in our learning is our ‘Connecting Conversations’ event on 23 rd February 2023 at The Rockfield Centre, Oban. ABMHF is one of a group of forums across Scotland supported by Museums Galleries Scotland. The Forums provide a sounding board and support network for heritage groups and individuals across the country.We are grateful for funding from Museums Galleries Scotland and National Lottery Heritage Fund
