Organised guided walks and visits hosted by Friends of the Quantocks in and around the Quantock Hills

<p>There are over 120 Bronze Age barrows and cairns across the Quantock Hills. These walks, led by Dan Broadbent, the Quantock Landscape Partnership Scheme’s Historic Heritage Offer, will delve into the archaeology and folklore of some of the best examples of these prominent prehistoric monuments, whilst also exploring what they can tell us about the lives and beliefs of the people who lived on the hills around 4,000 years ago.</p><p> Two versions of the walk are available. The shorter walk covers around 6km and will take around two and a half hours. The longer walk will covers around 12.5 km and will take around 4.5 hrs to complete.</p>
