J﻿oin us for events from our Member's meetups to training, support, advice and peer support on how you can carry out community led climate action projects, initiatives and facilities in your area. We regularly hold events and training activities designed to help your community address your community needs through climate action projects in the just transition towards net zero.

Highlands and Islands Climate Hub

This short workshop will provide you with information and a toolkit to create your own environmental policy.

A Net Zero policy outlines your organisations commitment to reducing its impact on the environment and provides a framework for setting objectives and targets to improve your environmental performance. The workshop should only take 45 minutes and will give you information, and resources and provide a tool kit to help you create your own policy.The benefits:<ul><li>Having a NetZero policy can help to support funding applications</li><li>It can help to lower energy and resource costs​</li><li>It can encourage positive engagement with employees and the community</li><li>It can help to achieve a net zero in line with Scottish Government Policy and Global Sustainable Development Agenda</li><li>Control your own narrative: you are well placed to ensure that the transition to Net Zero works for your organisation and community. </li></ul>T﻿his session will be a straightforward, informal discussion around the creation of a net zero strategy/policy and will equip community groups with the information you require to build your own policy.
