About this event

Please note - the date of this workshop has changed from the date originally advertised.

This course aims to teach the basics of using a Digital SLR camera – the settings you can use to control the camera and how they will affect the photos you take.

For anyone interested in learning one of the photography-based techniques we cover, including photogrammetry and reflectance transformation imaging (RTI), or wanting to get better photos when visiting archives, this course provides a grounding in the principles of photography and will aid understanding of those courses.

DSLR cameras and tripods are available to borrow from the DH Lab for the practical part of the workshop, but you are very welcome to bring your own if you have them.

Due to high demand, these workshops are currently limited to staff and students from University of Exeter and Southwest DTP institutions. If you do not fall into those categories but are interested in attending, please get in touch with the DH team and we can discuss training possibilities.

Places are limited for this event, so if you find you are unable to attend, please let us know at digitalhumanities@exeter.ac.uk.
