<p>T﻿he haunting call of the Curlew has been inspiring artists, poets and musicians for centuries. One of only four surviving manuscripts of Old English poetry is called &#x27;The Seafarer&#x27; and includes the line &#x27;I take my gladness in the sound... of Curlew instead of the laughter of men&#x27;. Myths like The Severn Whistlers would stop miners and fishermen from working the next day if they heard an eerie cry in the night. Join us for an evening to celebrate World Curlew Day and the legends inspired by these magical birds.</p>
