The Gallery at Green & Stone is excited to be joined by tutors from the Royal Drawing School conducting this unique drawing class.

Green & Stone

Tutor: Cristina Celestini ASGFASummary: We never forget something we draw: drawing helps us to observe, understand and appreciate the world we live in. During this session, we will focus on the pieces on the wall in the gallery and we will appreciate the skill, technique and theme behind the works exhibited. After a short introduction and presentation of the show we will be copying from the works exhibited, choosing elements, parts, or whole compositions to create something new and personal. Drawing materials to be included and a 10% discount in our renowned art materials shop at the end of the class!This is a fantastic opportunity to be trained by a tutor from the Royal Drawing School. The class will take place in our gallery, showing the work of Royal Drawing School alumni, for maximum inspiration.

Cristina was born in Rome, Italy, but has been living in Birmingham for over 30 years. She is mostly a self-taught artist, and her work is inspired by the nature of memory and human feelings. Cristina works within a figurative tradition with a love of detail, realism and the rendering of light and shade. Her main medium is pencil and coloured pencils, as she explores and experiments with line and the layering of colours to achieve unexpected effects. Cristina is an Associate member of the Society of Graphic and Fine Arts, and she regularly exhibits at the Mall Galleries.
