WITH SIGHT IN MIND(LECTURE)What role do studies, drawings and preparatory work play in the careers of the old Masters? In this talk Helen will address the training and practice of the Renaissance artists - looking at the works on paper that anticipated their painting.Helen OakdenHelen is the Head of the History of Art Department at St Mary&#x27;s School Ascot. She studied at Manchester University and achieved her Masters&#x27; Degree in architectural history from the Courtauld Institute of Art. Based in London she has previously worked for the Royal Academy and National Gallery, as well as leading specialised art history courses across Italy and Europe. She is a regular lecturer for the Arts Society.
