Chinese Corner: Festivals and Food (in-person only)

We communicate Chinese language and culture to schools, universities and local communities across Wales. We were formed in 2008 through a partnership between Xiamen University and Cardiff University and our work is supported by the International Education Foundationin China.There are almost 500 Confucius Institutes around the world, and each one serves its community in a different way. The focus of Cardiff Confucius Institute is on language teaching and is built upon the vast breadth of expertise at Cardiff University's School of Modern Languages, where we are based.

<p>On Wednesday 22 February 18:30 – 20:00, Cardiff Confucius Institute will hold a talk  on Chinese Festivals and Food. The presentation will explore important traditional Chinese festivals and the food eaten to celebrate them. This event will delve into the relationship between food and culture, the origins of Chinese cuisine and the differences in how food is produced and eaten. </p>
