Back by popular demand, our panel members look into their crystal balls to define the biggest Change Challenges for 2023 and beyond

<h1>Panel Discussion: Biggest change challenges in 2023 Revisited?</h1><p>As we continue to go through what seem like enormous changes at the start of 2023 our panel members will again look into their crystal balls. Bringing their wonderfully varied perspectives and depth of experience we’ll explore what aspects of the workplace and ways of working are likely to be at the top of the agenda for 2023 and beyond. <h1>Panel members</h1><h2>Melanie Stancliffe</h2><p>Melanie is a specialist in employment law team and partner at Cripps in London, providing practical advice to UK and international businesses of all sizes and to C-suite executives, banker, traders, brokers, owner-managers and professionals. She has specific experience advising clients in the financial services, retail, legal, healthcare and technology sectors. She has 23 years’ experience, 20 in the City, and a considerable reputation for negotiating contracts, settlements and business sales. Melanie regularly writes for and is quoted in the press (e.g. The Times, Estates Gazette) and presents on radio (e.g. Radio 5 live). She leads the French Chamber of Commerce’s HR Forum and speaks French. She discusses topical issues such as the talent gap, retention, hybrid working, long Covid, mental health, Menopause, Off payroll/IR35 and discrimination. In recent years he has focused on what it takes for truth to be spoken to power at work and how workplace activism is challenging the taken for granted corporate agenda – this resulted in him and his co-researcher Professor Megan Reitz being interviewed by the renowned Brene Brown on her ‘Dare to lead’ podcast. Their work has appeared in many places, including in recent years in the Harvard Business Review and the Sloan Management Review. His most recent books are: Speak-up – say what needs to be said and hear what needs to be heard, with Megan Reitz (FT Publishing, 2019), Leadership unravelled – the faulty thinking behind modern management with Mark Cole (Routledge, 2022) and The Great Unheard – why voice and silence matter in organisational life, also with Mark (Routledge, 2024). He is currently researching into what it takes to create spaces for difference at work, alongside how to make ethical choices. As part of the global headquarters team he helps Microsoft's largest customers adopt modern work technologies to realise value from their investments in Microsoft technologies.  He is an experienced change management practitioner who has worked with global and UK customers to help them cope with change. With a skillset that bridges both the technical and the people side of change, Stuart is able to help organisations get over their own internal barriers between their technical teams and the business. She is also a Non-Executive Board Member of the ACMP (Association of Change Management Professionals) UK Chapter. She believes in helping people - in whatever capacity she can - by making sure people are thought of first, last and throughout change projects and programmes. She has created a unique leading change framework, the ABChange Model, which has been published in peer review journals and several other articles, as well as, presented at multiple conferences and client leadership events. The Model is underpinned by accepted theories in leadership and change.
