Learn to reverse glass paint, solder together solar cells & create your own illuminated solar artwork in a frame (x2 Fri morning sessions)

Through the summer and autumn of 2022 a new community formed in Plymouth - the PEC Pals!<a href="https://plymouthenergycommunity.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> Plymouth Energy Community </a>invited people to come together to explore the world of energy through creative activity. Art and Energy came along to provide a creative spark, and together we had so much fun and came up with so many ideas!T﻿his workshop is part of the next stage as we learn together and develop those ideas. If you sign up then we will ask you to join in with other PEC Pals workshops, visits and activities... we&#x27;re excited that you would like to join us on this journey!W﻿hat will we be doing at this event?You will paint your own design, then add solar cells which will charge a battery during the day powering an LED at night!Suitable for beginners. Adults only. You must be able to attend both sessions.Friday 27th January - 9.15am - 12.30pm - You will design and paint your glass sheet with your own design - please wear older clothes for painting, and feel free to bring inspiration! Friday 3rd February - 9.15am - 12.30pm - You will learn to ‘tab up’ solar cells, add them to your artwork, and create a circuit complete with battery and LED. At the end of this session you will take your finished renewable artwork home!T﻿he workshops will also be running on Thursday evenings, you can choose one or the other subject to availability - <a href="https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/510522174567" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/510522174567</a>-﻿--This workshop consists of two parts, you will need to attend both in order to create the make. We&#x27;ll be working in the Fab Lab area - an inspirational space! We will have tea and coffee making facilities - if possible please bring your own travel mug.
