How To Grow A Flower Garden

W﻿e have teamed up with Sheffield Botanical Gardens to deliver a schedule of seasonal horticulture and floristry workshops to help you get the most from your flower garden. You can book onto the whole 6 weeks, or book the workshops individually.

We will be spending the morning learning all about different techniques or drying flowers. You will also learn how to, and how important it is to, save seeds. This session will be focused around biodiversity and growing an environmentally friendly garden. Our workshops are for all abilities and are about having fun, being creative and giving it a go! Tea, coffee and friendly faces all included. This session will be d﻿elivered by the team from <a href="https://www.bloomsheffield.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Bloom Sheffield</a>, a community garden for women, promoting positive mental health through therapeutic horticulture. We run weekly flower growing groups for women to improve their health and wellbeing, reduce social isolation and teach and share skills. We manage three gardens across Sheffield and grow all of the flowers we use in our bouquets and arrangements. As a not-for-profit organisation, all the money we raise from the sales of our flowers go back into the garden and supporting women’s mental health in the community.P﻿lease note this event is for the August session ONLY.
