FREE gender-affirming fashion workshops for the trans/non-binary community. Birmingham LGBT is proudly working with G(end)er Swap to deliver two gender-affirming style workshops for members of the trans community, providing a safe space to find new style resources and experiment with expression. Fashion and presentation can be an amazing way to relieve dysphoria, and these workshops will be beneficial to both beginners and experienced DIY-fashionistas. Attendees will leave with practical style tips and learn DIY techniques to create a gender affirming wardrobe! Gender Moods and Fashion Feelings Workshop - Thursday 16th Feb 6:30-8pm Sometimes we need a creative outlet to express our gender and a way to plan out our style visions. G(end)er Swap is here to guide you on a creative adventure to explore your current gender and fashion feelings/inspiration through collage and mood boarding - with a Q+A forum to round it off. An interactive workshop that celebrates where you are now with a visual that inspires you to look forward to your future self! Styling Gender Euphoria Workshop – Saturday 25th Feb 1-2:30pm There is no better feeling than wearing an outfit that feels gender euphoric! But sometimes, it can be difficult knowing where to start when building a gender affirming wardrobe. Join G(end)er Swap in an interactive workshop to experiment with new styles, to learn DIY tips on building a gender affirming wardrobe and to access a safe space to share style resource -ending with a Q+A forum and free take home resources! Workshop Facilitator Santi (they/he) is a DIY fashion-ista, LGBTQ+ grassroots organiser and the Founder and Creative Director of G(end)er Swap. Their mission is to create wider societal understanding (and celebration) of gender diversity - through the lens of fashion. They create and deliver style workshops and digital resources across social media platforms for the Trans community as well as provide D&amp;I consultancy for allies running their own social enterprises. For their work, Santi has been featured in BRICKS magazine, Open Democracy, Love Hero’s fashion campaign, and the Smiley Movement. Santi is also a drag performer and the creator of a new upcycled clothing line called Pretty Boy Spice.

About G(end)er Swap G(end)er Swap is the first LGBTIQ+ clothing outreach organisation based in the UK that supports Trans and GNC folks to access clothes and community via style pop-ups, workshops and consultancy.

About the Venue Workshops are being held at Birmingham LGBT in the Café downstairs. The Café is wheelchair accessible, and there is an accessible toilet. If you have any specific access needs, please get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate. Please Note Places are limited and on a first come, first served basis – so book your free place now to avoid disappointment. You are welcome to reserve a ticket for one or both of these workshops. If you book a ticket and are no longer able to attend, please get in touch ASAP so that your place may be given to somebody else who would like to take part.
