Research4Gloucestershire is hosting a research workshop focused on Screening in Ophthalmology

In March 2023 Research4Gloucestershire will be hosting the first Gloucestershire Festival of Health and Social Care Research. This month long event will see a range of digital and in person research workshops, seminars, and panel discussions; focusing on the themes of Digital Transformation, Research for Public and Patient Benefit, Mental Health, and Workforce.Professor Peter Scanlon, Consultant Ophthalmologist at Gloucestershire and Oxford Eye Units will facilitate a series of sessions giving:1.	an oversight of the transformational programme of national diabetic screening from concept to delivery and into the future, including research and education in the field.
2.	Covering new ways of working and the impact on patients’ health and wellbeing of this trailblazing work led from Gloucestershire
3.	The development of the National Audit for cataract surgery and wet macular degeneration which is analysed by our National Ophthalmology database statistical team in Gloucestershire.
T﻿his event is targeted towards Health and Care Professionals from all disciplines, and students in a Health and Social Care subject at the University of Gloucestershire
