RRS Discovery and Discovery Point

Saturday, 11th March 2023. From 2 pm to 3:30 pm. &#x27;Artist’s Talk&#x27; events are designed for the visitors to learn about our exhibitor’s inspiring and unique artwork and the creation process, as well as their life and philosophy.We are inviting you to one of our talk series with Ellis O&#x27;Connor, the artist of the &#x27;Facing The North&#x27; exhibit at Discovery Point, which will run until the 23rd of April 2023.&#x27;Facing the North&#x27;. The exhibition explores O’Connor’s experience and interpretation of travelling in the far north of the planet. Ever changing skies, brutal winds, extreme temperatures, a heightened atmosphere. It all combines to create a unique dramatic landscape and it is this experience that they share in their paintings, evocative of the light and colour found there while expressing these landscapes through their unique expressive style.
