An introduction to Nature and Forest Bathing

Maria is an ANFT Certified Nature & Forest Therapy Guide and Coach, EcoNidra Teacher, Therapetic writing teacher, story weaving facilitator and Mindfulness/ Compassion Teacher.She is the founder of Mindful Connections where she facilitates both individual, group and private experiences to help increase balance, stillness and much needed rest.She works with public groups, 1:1 individualised coaching & mentoring and private teams to help promote  wellbeing, balance and resilience.After a period of work related burn out in 2001 and 2002, Maria found a path to her own restoration during a solo journey along the West Coast of Ireland.She is dedicated to helping  others find their own balance, stillness and rediscovery through the healing power of Nature and Connection, natural silence and self care practices.

Our wellbeing wanders in Nature, (be it deep within a woodland or along our beaches and seashores) , offer a real chance to slow down, ignite our senses and connect with our natural environments and our own true nature.

This is a special invitation to join us for a discovery session to explore more about Nature and Forest Bathing at Clumber Park.Nature Connection is an important element to incorporate into our lives and Forest Bathing is one way to help achieve this. Nature and Forest Bathing is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku. On this introductory talk and taster session you will discover more about nature and forest bathing, where it has originated from and some of the physical and psychologial health benefits that studies have confirmed.You will also be offered a couple of our invitations to experience the effect for yourself. The first being &quot;Pleasures of Presence&quot; - this is a guided mindful meditation that is designed to slow us down and awaken our senses. The second may vary from a slow walk to tea ceremony.Each session will be approx one hour long.

You will be given meeting instructions upon registrationCost £10 per person plus normal park entry. Once we have met on the date and booked in; we will then take a short walk to one of Clumber Parks woodlands and remain here for the remainder of the experience. We will probably be seated on the ground, therefore please bring something to sit on (often a rain mac will suffice or sit mat or small portable stool) and dress as required for the weather - layer for cooler days as we will be sitting for a period of time, we will not generate much body heat. Likewise in warmer weather, a hat, sun cream and covering is advisable .

Please be advised in the event that it is raining (unless light rain) we will postpone and an alternative date will be offered to you.
