Workshops: Clare has run successful writing workshops for many years. She has held a regular online monthly workshop for writers of all levels of experience since 2020. Before that, she ran in person workshops  in Bath, at festivals and arts centres with Bristol short story collective Heads and Tales, for the U3A, Julian House, the refugee centre in Bristol, for Clifton LitFest and other organisations.  Her background as a script editor for the BBC and Granada TV and her MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University gives her experience of working with a wide range of writers.Clare writes short stories, novels and plays. Her debut novel'Dancing in the Shallows'was published in 2024 (Fairlight Books). Her short stories are regularly published, broadcast and win competitions. Her plays have been performed throughout the UK. With her company A Word In Your Ear, Clare creates unusual and varied live lit experiences including performances and site specific story walks.

PUBS AND POTATOES, GIANTS AND GENIUSESA STORY-WALK THROUGH IRISH BRISTOL Written and led by Clare Reddaway Join Clare on a story-walk exploring Irish life in Bristol. Listen to snippets of history and slices of fiction as you see the city with fresh new eyes. Clare will create stories inspired by the streets and buildings at the heart of Bristol and bring to life the forgotten experiences of the Irish people who once lived there. There are FOUR dates available for the story-walk:Saturday March 11th,11amSunday March 12th, 11amSaturday March 18th, 11am**Sunday March 19th, 3pmPlease select the date you prefer at the top of the page! (**time changed from afternoon to avoid English/Irish Six Nations final!)Clare leads regular story-walks in Clifton. Audience members said of her Clifton walks: ‘Superb – a tour de force!’ ‘An absolute joy!' 'You have a little bit of magic in you’ 'I was blown away!'‘Innovative' ‘Compelling’ 'It has left me with some wonderful images and hearing the voices in each story was so powerful'The walk will last approx 1½ hours. Suitable for 12 years and over. The walk begins (and ends) outside the entrance to St Nicholas' Market on Corn Street, Bristol. Please be aware that the walk includes a short flight of steep steps. This is Bristol, it might rain. If the event has to be cancelled due to very bad weather, tickets will be refunded (excluding the Eventbrite fee) or can be transferred to another walk day.
