Join the Cateran Ecomuseum’s Poet in Residence Jim Mackintosh for a stroll through the pretty east Perthshire town of Alyth to the beautiful Den O&#x27; Alyth. You’ll hear work from some of the poets of the area as well as some of Jim’s own poetry. A visit to the new Ecomuseum Hub at the Alyth Museum is also part of this walk. Grade of walk: 2 (Straightforward [c.3km]Cost: FreeAssembly point: Alyth Market Square Please bring snacks and drinking water, dress warmly and waterproofed and wear sturdy shoes. There are no public toilets on this route.Dogs on leads and children welcome. This session is part of <a href="https://cateranecomuseum.co.uk" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Cateran Ecomuseum’s</a> Travel For All Our Tomorrow’s programme which offers a number of free, active travel for leisure experiences co-designed with local communities and led by local people and which aims to encourage more people in the Tayside region to enjoy what is on their doorstep, rather than increase their carbon footprint by travelling further afield.The walk is being delivered by the Cateran Ecomuseum with the support of Inspiring Scotland and the Scottish Government’s Rural and Island Communities Ideas into Action (RICIA) Fund and Paths for All Smarter Choices Smarter Places programme.
