The Cultural Spring is an exciting, ambitious project to get more people in Sunderland and South Tyneside to experience and be inspired by the arts. We’ve been working with the best local, regional and national artists to ensure our programme really engages, enthuses, entertains and educates the 100,000 people living in our wards.

Print Making with Shiori NaruseThursdays 23 March-13 April (4 weeks)Albany Village Centre, Washington, NE37 1UBJoin The Cultural Spring and artist Shiori Naruse and create your own beautiful prints.You will explore a range of different traditional printing techniques, including monoprinting, block printing &amp; etching onto paper as well as printing &amp; dying textiles. In each workshop you will create unique prints, professionally finished ready to sell or keep for yourself. Suitable for beginners and all materials provided.Workshop led by Shiori Naruse, founder of design label Naruse Design, an artist &amp; printmaker based in the North East of England. Due to the funding we receive, these workshops are for people living in Sunderland only.These workshops are offered by The Cultural Spring and funded by Sunderland City Council, Warm Spaces, CLLD and ESIF with further subsidy from Arts Council England.If you have any questions, please contact info@theculturalspring.org.uk
