You are welcome to our meditative Sound and movement event , held in a new venue for us that we hope you will enjoy. We are in St Asaph Parish Church , a beautiful ornate medieval church set back off the high street in the City of St Asaph.The events is alcohol and drugs free and for over 18&#x27;s. &quot;3 events in 1&quot; - is £20.00 pp .The spaces sold out on the last two events and are limited so get booking now to save x Please note there is an additional Eventbrite fee at checkout whcih is non refundable if cancelation occurs.Please take time to read all the below details which outlines what to expect and any medical conditions we need to consider xxCacao Ceremonies The Cacao Ceremony is a simple ritual, is suitable for people of all walks of life. Cacao is a bean which grows on trees native to Central and South Americas. It’s said to be a “superfood” as a portion contains more antioxidants than blueberries. It also contains iron, calcium, and magnesium which the body needs to maintain balance. In addition, Cacao is a notable source of flavonoids, which help support the cardiovascular system. Furthermore, Cacao contains theobromine, a bitter alkaloid similar to caffeine thought to boost moods and energy.For ceremony, the Cacao is served warm and tastes of chocolate. When the drink is prepared, it is prepared with intention and love. From beginning to end, it’s treated with great reverence, which adds an energetic component as well.Working in groups with Cacao allows for participants to enjoy a shared experience of elevated mood, increased vitality, enhanced intuition and empathy, and a more open and present heart.During the ceremony you will be guided in meditation to open your heart and step into your authentic self. We will sing Mantras before being invited to dance to the tunes crafted by DJ Willow.Harmonious Dance Here we now embrace our true self and dance or just sit and move intuitively. Do as little or as much as your body needs. In dance, as in other art forms that excite the senses, harmony is the balance and relationship between contrasts: Harmony is the result of different things working together to produce a thing of beauty.Crystal Bowls Sound BathNow it is time to set your space and lie down to a 40 minute Sound Bath. Sound baths are a type of inactive meditation, where you “bathe” in the healing vibrations of sound. Using sound as a form of healing dates back to ancient cultures. Sound baths are highly rejuvenating for the body and bring about an overall sense of relaxation, which can reduce stress as well as help develop a better ability to cope with stress, help move emotional blockages from trauma, reduce pain, and even stimulate altered states of consciousness.Your hostsSarah Maitland Price is certified as a Reiki Master, Reflexologist , and masseur and Spiritual Life coach.Angela Durkan is a cerified Psychotherapist, Sound Therapist , Reiki Master, Chakra cleansing group facilitator, and is qualified to Higher Level Diploma with BAST in Sound and Movement Therapy and Group Sound Therapy. (See pictures attached) What to bringCacao ceremony - A Cushion to sit on when in circle (we have chairs available at the hall if required) Harmonious Dance - you will be moving so loose comfortable clothing is advisable, you can dance barefoot or with shoes this is your choice. Sound Bath - bring a mat, pillow, blanket, eye mask(optional) anything that will make you cosy.Hydration- It is really important that you are hydrated for best results make sure your fluid intake is up 24 hours before and bring a spill proof container with you . There will be water at the hall if you need to fill up. Digestion - Please eat a light meal at least 2 hours before attending.The Hall / Parking - There is ample car parking next to the venue, there is ground floor level entrance. Access ramps are also in place. Arrival - Doors open at 6.30pm . Please arrive at 6.30pm at least 15 minutes beforehand for registration and settling in. Your Sound bath equipment to be left in the allocated area for later. Doors are closed at 6.30pm.Bring in with you a smile , an eagersness to have fun . Set up around the circle in the middle of the room ready for the ceremony to start at 6.45pm.PLEASE ENSURE YOU READ THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION Contraindications CacaoWhilst the health benefits of cacao are vast and scientific studies have shown cacao can assist with many symptoms and conditions naturally, there are a few precautions regarding its compatibility with some health disorders or medications, that should be explored before consuming cacao. Please let your hosts know if any of the following apply before attending and Cacao doseage can be adjusted accordingly or replaced with a herbal tea.Antidepressants -Those on MAIO antidepressants should not consume cacao. Pregnancy &amp; Breastfeeding- Cacao is generally considered safe in pregnancy and during breastfeeding when taken in moderation. GERD - It is best to begin consuming cacao in a smaller quantity (10-20g) to assess sensitivity. IBS -It is best to begin consuming cacao in a smaller quantity (10-20g) to assess sensitivity. Bleeding Disorders - Consult with a doctor prior to consumption if you have a bleeding disorder or are consuming any related medication. Heart Conditions -Consult with a doctor before using cacao High Blood Pressure -Consult with a doctor before using cacao Low Blood Pressure -Consult with a doctor before using cacao Sensitivities (e.g caffeine or stimulant sensitivities)It is best to begin consuming cacao in a smaller quantity (15-20g) to assess sensitivity. Medication use - It is best to consult with a doctor about all drugs and supplements you are using or considering, prior to the consumption of cacao. Harmonious danceThere will be disco lights and laser lights used in the room , please inform your hosts if you get affected or suffer from from epilepsy or any other medical problem that could be affected by these lights. Contraindications Sound Bath We are working with vibration and frequencies so in some cases these can contraindicate with the following medical complaints.Please inform your host if any of the following apply to you. It does not necessarily mean you can not attend it just needs to be assessed for comfort and suitability.Recent operationsPregnancyHistory of Heart complaints / monitors /stents/ pacemakersHistory of StrokeEpilepsy ( particularly sound induced epilepsy)Metal plates in the bodyMental Health - any history or recent diagnosis eg.
