Chi gung classes for personal health

The Walk Club, Edinburgh and other walking activities take place in North Edinburgh and elsewhere. Covering a wide variety of subjects and themes, the Walk Club is a brand-new Edinburgh walking / wheeling club offering ambulatory meet-ups that focus on local history, art, and urban nature ~ with a twist ~ Each walk will have a theme and celebrate events such as the Festival of Terminalia, the Urban Tree Festival, May Day, and the Autumn Equinox. The walks will be stimulating and the company friendly. Fresh air and gentle exercise are promised, whether you are on wheels or feet, and the Walk Club is open to everyone. Children and dogs are welcome. The aim is to be accessible, inclusive, and flexible.Moving slowly through the urban landscape allows for higher quality noticing and time to pay attention. Pauses are important so we can look, smell, and discover. We will embrace community, as well as silence and conversation.With experience in the arts and community settings, I offer walks (ecological, history and psychogeography, for example) in Edinburgh and elsewhere in Europe. They are participatory, safe and inclusive. I also run workshops in venues such as Edinburgh Central Library and for festivals such as the Festival of Terminalia.

Chi gung exercises are like short sequences and movements from T’ai Chi. P﻿lease note that this week&#x27;s class is on Tuesday 21 March NOT Wednesday 22nd due to bereavement, and there will be no class on 29th March.Easy to learn and gentle to do, they appear simple, but have far-reaching effects. Good for calming, feeling grounded and centred, they are also excellent for promoting better balance and increasing your co-ordination. Almost everyone finds that chi gung deepens the breath and so improves oxygen uptake leaving you feeling both peaceful and vital. You will feel more stable afterwards. The classes incorporate a little simple meditation and the opportunity for discussion about the art of chi gung and its beneficial use in our lives. It can all be done standing or sitting.I am an experienced teacher and aim for a friendly atmosphere.
