Loving Earth is a community craft project which helps people engage with the challenging issues of the climate crisis in a creative way.

The Loving Earth Project involves communities creating textile panels which capture their feelings, concerns and hopes around climate change and its impact on the people and places they love. The panels have been displayed in many locations within the UK and abroad; a selection of the panels have also been exhibited in Glasgow for COP 26. In March 2023, as part of Go Green Salford, the panels will be displayed at the University of Salford (MediaCityUK campus, main building, ground floor foyer).We&#x27;d like to invite you to contribute to the Loving Earth Project by creating your own textile panel. Join us for the free workshop and we&#x27;ll help you get started: we&#x27;ll exchange ideas, share inspirations and try out techniques to create the panels.T﻿ime &amp; date: Wednesday 15th March, 14:00-17:00L﻿ocation: University of Salford MediaCityUK campus, main building foyer (see map above). No experiences necessary, all abilities welcome. Materials will be provided but please feel free to bring any fabrics, sketch paper and sewing threads that you&#x27;d like to use.
