Norfolk Record Office (NRO) collects and preserves unique archives relating to the history of Norfolk and makes them accessible to people all over the world.The events listed here are run from our base at The Archive Centre, Martineau Lane, Norwich.   Free parking is available at County Hall for Archive Centre users. <h3>ONLINE EVENT</h3><h2>The 1902 Balfour Education Act changed how schools were managed and newly created Local Education Authorities had to audit the educational provision they were about to take on. This talk looks at the picture painted of existing provision in the county and the tales behind what appears to be, at first glance, a straightforward survey.</h2><h2></h2><h3>Online attendees will receive the Zoom link the day before the talk.</h3><h3>This is a hybrid event, with a small in-person audience at The Archive Centre and an online audience.
